Stella Thomas is a passionate music lover with a flair for the experimental and DIY. While she doesn’t come from a traditional teaching or performance background, Stella brings an infectious love for music, creativity, and collaboration to every jam session. Her style blends surfy tones, classic rock, bossa nova, dub reggae, and underground sounds from around the world. Inspired by her dad (who played in the band Scarlet Promise), Stella sees music as a form of joyful expression and is excited to help others gain confidence, explore new sounds, and have fun making music together.

Teaching Experience:
Teaching at Danman’s Music School since 2025. While new to formal instruction, Stella brings a playful and encouraging approach rooted in her love for DIY music and jamming with friends.

Performance Experience:
Plays casually with friends—jamming, experimenting, and capturing sounds for future memories.

Music Style:
Surfy, DIY, Experimental, Power Pop, Classic Rock, Bossa Nova, Dub Reggae, Cambodian Soul, French Nostalgia, Outlaw Country, and more.

Short-Term Goals:
Gain confidence through musical experimentation and play more often.

Long-Term Goals:
Record fun, expressive music and burn it to cassette as musical memorabilia. Dreams of playing shows with friends.

Bands/Projects:
None currently, but enjoys jamming with friends regularly.

Fun Facts:

Dad played in a band called Scarlet Promise and taught her guitar.
Inspired by underground DIY scenes around the world.
Loves surfing, dancing, fashion, art, and collecting obscure musical finds.
