Dan Lefler aka DANMAN started Danman's Music School in 1987 as a 27 year old who had a knack for performance. Dan got his performing career started by volunteering at local nursing homes, senior centers and outdoor fair events, but always had a flair for street performance.

Over time Dan was able to produce a few cd's as well as put a few "gigs" under his belt. Dan eventually moved his teaching operation into a commercial location in Downtown Dana Point.

Dan also began to dabble in the internet programming world. Dan's passion has been music education over the internet for many years now. Dan's contribution to this budding new industry is Danman's Music Library, an online Video Music Lesson database with over 7,000 pre-recorded video music lessons.

About the Music School: Founded by Daniel H. Lefler, 1987

This music school started 20 years ago teaching lessons out of my house. It was a means to an end while I raised a kid and gigged at night to pay the bills. Over that time I have developed a very successfull method and approach to teaching and learning music. People seem to like it. Today Danman's Music School has over 30 quality music instructors teaching all levels of instruments to 400+ kids and adults weekly.

Our 6,000 square foot facility consists of 2 buildings, 16 teaching studios, a Pro Recording Studio, and is situated next door to the Renaissance, a full service restaurant, bar and 7 night a week live music venue where the founder, Dan Lefler still performs every Wednesday night and has since 1987.

Danman's Music School sponsors 6 kids concerts each year. Each concert consists of 30 - 40 kids getting on stage and performing solo, duets, or in front of a backing band made up of students and instructors. Check out the past concert videos!
