Dan Lefler started Danman's Music School in 1987 as a young man who had a knack for performance. Self taught and fluent on mutiple instruments, Dan got his performing career started by playing music festivals, art shows and volunteering at local nursing homes and senior centers but always had a flair for teaching.

After participating in a local talent show in 1988, Dan was invited to play a weekly music show at a local club called the Old Dana Point Cafe which later was renamed the Renaissance. Well its 2011 and Dan is still playing every Wednesday night with his band... the Danimals!

Over time Dan was able to produce a few cd's as well as put a few "gigs" under his belt. Dan eventually moved his teaching business into the same building where he performs... the Renaissance Building, built in the year 1923 and made of solid cedar!

Dan also began to dabble in the internet programming world. Dan's passion has been music education over the internet for many years now. Dan's contribution to this budding new industry is Danman's Music Library, an online music library serving students and teachers

The first Danman's Music Library website went online in 1994 and has been online since that time. Danman's Music Library is owned by Danman's Music School, a corporation located in Dana Point, Ca. USA. 949-496-6556

Today Danman's Music School has over 20 quality music instructors teaching all levels of instruments to 300+ kids and adults weekly.

Our Music School is situated next door to the Renaissance, a full service restaurant, bar and 7 night a week live music venue where the founder, Dan Lefler still performs their weekly (Every wednesday Night) and has since 1988.

Danman's Music School sponsors 6 kids concerts each year. Each concert consists of 30 - 40 kids getting on stage and performing wither solo, duets, or in front of a backing band made up of students and instructors. Check out our Kids Concerts Page and you can see the past concert videos!
